In tonight’s Sony State of Play, Bethesda showed a 9-minute shot of Arkane’s upcoming game Deathloop.

In the video, the protagonist Colt is looking for Alexis “Wolf” Dorsey, which is one of the eight key goals to be eliminated before the day is reset again. There are many ways to reach and shoot down the target, and only one course of action is shown in the video.
Once Colt defeats Alexis, he will meet his nemesis Juliana, who can be controlled by other players or AI. As you can see in the video, she took full advantage of him, thus restarting Colt’s time loop.
An interesting thing about these time loops is that they cause everyone on Blackreef Island to forget, except for one person-Juliana. Of course, after staying for a while in this endless loop, residents begin to experience side effects. Everyone on the island has amnesia, including Colt, and no one knows how long they repeat it on the same day.
Going b ack to the walkthrough, in the extended game, you can see that Colt picked up something after killing Alexis. This is an upgrade of his Kanesis ability, which makes him “throw people around like a doll.” Killing visionaries will always provide you with generous rewards, ranging from new abilities to powerful upgrades.
However, even if you restart each day without the memory of the previous day, this does not mean that you have to start from the beginning. As you progress, you will find a project called Residuum. Obtained by eliminating eternalists and visionaries. Once unlocked, the remnants can be spent between trying to permanently preserve the ability and equipment parts.
You will also have an ability called Reprise, which will be unlocked early in the game and will ensure that death does not “automatically restart.” If you are killed, you have two opportunities to go back in time without restarting. But if you die a third time, the day will end. When you use Reprise, time will only rewind Colt, and everything else on the island will not be affected. This means that all enemies you killed are still dead.
