Does that have anything to do with the last Saints Row? The development studio Volition gets a new parent company within the Embracer Group. Instead of Deep Silver, the game company now runs under the Gearbox label.
The newest Saints Row didn’t really come off well. What is offered is often too unclean, the technology is not up to date and many quests come from the open world cliché box. However, Saints Row also seems to have caused some change requests at the Embracer Group, because there were internal restructuring. We don’t mean a massive wave of layoffs or other unpleasant news, but Volition is now working under the Gearbox label. The studio is no longer part of the Plaion group, or rather Deep Silver.
This step is to be taken primarily because Gearbox has all the tools at its disposal to ensure the future success of Volition. Above all, the management team should have an influence here. This internal relocation of a studio between operational groups is the first of its kind within the Embracer Group. But it shouldn’t be the last.
