Wallheim continues to grow.
Soon after Wallheim Developer Iron Gate announced that the game has sold 3 million copies in more than two weeks, and the survival game has also seen further growth among active players.
The top three games on Steam were shot up at the time of release, with more than 367,443 players at the peak of concurrency. The game broke the already impressive number again last week and weekend.
Now, Valheim’s record has 502,387 players online simultaneously. It is developing so fast, in fact, SteamCharts has not caught up with the latest numbers.
Having more than half a million active players is enough for Walheim to surpass Dota 2 and get second only to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. At the time of writing, Wallheim was in third place after two games, but this situation may flip again as more players log in later today.
It is difficult to predict where Wallheim can go from there. The data still has room for improvement, but things cannot reach the level of rapid success of PUBG. Of course, time will tell, it has never even been predicted that PUBG will surpass CS:GO or Dota 2.
