The FOLON team, the creators of Fallout: London, have been hoping that people would create mods that would add fresh elements or content to their larger mods, and now they’ve done something similar in that regard, making a mod that injects some chaos into your gameplay through a Baldur’s Gate 3-style dice rolling method.
It doesn’t feel like British culture, after all, and the established dangers of a post-apocalyptic world are enough to keep you on your toes while exploring the model’s vast wastelands.

The mod is the brainchild of Jordan ‘SunnyDelight’ Albon, lead 3D artist at Team FOLON. They’re clearly fans of TTRPGs, as their entry – dubbed ‘NAT20’ – adds a giant twenty-sided die to a character’s inventory, which they can take out and activate to roll a random result.
Rolling the dice will trigger one of 20 possible scenarios, which have a staggering 853 outcome variations, and as you’d expect since the mod was designed with not just regular players but streamers in mind, they’re an interesting mix of good, bad, and downright weird.
For example, one of the scenarios you can try has your Wayfarer “uncontrollably doing three possible dance moves,” with random chance also determining which one you’ll be doing at any given time. Another scenario spawns an OP enemy that will definitely kill you, but there are 14 different enemies that can be summoned to accomplish this task.
Some other features include generating a random number of tickets, making your character smaller for 30 seconds, and launching you to a random height in the air in reference to Skyrim’s infamous cloud areas. You can see some of these features in action in the demo clip from Team FOLON’s development stream below.
Basically, as Albon writes: “Don’t expect to play the game seriously with this mod.” “This mod will definitely break the game balance-wise, and may even kill you,” they say, adding, “It has not been tested on every mission or possible outcome, so only roll the dice if you feel it’s safe.”
The modder added that they have received a request to make a base version of Fallout 4 called NAT20, and said: “I’ll take a look at it.”
