Well, they say the road to hell is paved with blood candies… don’t they?
Have you ever wondered what a “scary 18+ immersive ‘goremet’ devilish chocolate emporium” looks like? Well, want to know more, because – if you’re local to London and have a few spare moments – you’re likely to find out.
To celebrate the release of Diablo 4, this quirky new cocoa installation is opening in central London, where people can enjoy the show on Saturday 3rd June (11am-7pm) and Sunday 4th June (noon-5pm) ).
Dubbed “Lilith, Inc.” as a nod to the game’s iconic — and evil — big villain, the publicity stunt was dubbed “The Deliciously Evil Chocolate Shop,” which combined the game’s dark magic with highly trained sculptors. Home and chocolatier Sarah Hardy’s dark chocolate fusion.
A veteran of The Edible Museum, Hardy creates stunning chocolate sculptures and hangs them on displays throughout the mall – complete with large Diablo characters, weapons, and imagery, you’d think she came through Diablo Home, refuge called and forgiven…despite some chocolate trasmorg effect.
Maybe you’ll want to pick up the “Life-Size Chocolate Human Skull and Femur,” or maybe you’re into something more profane and forbidden — like a devil heart or chocolate runes.
Fittingly, prices start at £6.66. 100% of sales will go to SpecialEffect, a gaming charity that aims to change the lives of people with disabilities.
…but that’s not all. “The arcade is just the beginning of the horrors to come, as attendees will also have access to a secret room where the true evil of Diablo IV is brought to life,” teases a press release. “As guests venture deeper into the mall, they will find a dedicated gaming area in the store’s storeroom, where attendees can play Diablo IV ahead of its official launch, bringing players into the world of the game.”
You must be at least 18 years of age to enter and you must attend Lilith & Co. 15 Bateman Street, London, W1D 3AQ at the times listed above to have an early access to the game. I’m going to go experience it myself and let you know what’s going on during this particular launch event – if I make it out alive, I’ll be sure to keep you updated.
Diablo 4 will be available on Windows PC, Xbox and PlayStation starting June 6, 2023.
