The Warcraft franchise will soon be celebrating its 30th anniversary – and Blizzard Entertainment is celebrating it with a big stream. A Warcraft Direct was officially announced today.
There is a lot to celebrate about the successful Warcraft brand. The franchise itself is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the long-running MMO World of Warcraft has now been on the market for 20 years and is also celebrating a milestone birthday in itself. Blizzard Entertainment takes this as an opportunity to prepare and broadcast a big stream.
That’s why the teams from World of Warcraft, WoW Classic, Hearthstone and Warcraft Rumble have now jointly announced a larger presentation for November 13th – the so-called Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct. It starts on this day at 6:30 p.m. with a pre-show, the actual direct can then be followed from 7:00 p.m. via the official Blizzard channels on Twitch, YouTube and Tiktok.
What awaits us and you? Various developers first look back on 30 years of Warcraft, but then also provide a look into the future. So it’s quite possible that various new game content (and perhaps new games) will be announced around the long-standing fantasy brand.
After the Direct, the celebration will continue with a broadcast of the “World of Warcraft: 20 Years of Music” concert, recorded in Switzerland in September. The concert brings together the 21st Century Orchestra, the Tale of Fantasy Chorus, the Ardito Choir and the Madrijazz Choir in a performance with 190 artists that pays homage to two decades of music’s most successful pieces World of Warcraft present.
Anyone who watches can secure rewards in the form of items for WoW, Hearthstone and Warcraft Rumble. Further details about the drop program will follow soon.
