The new edition of Warcraft III was flop at the start for Blizzard Entertainment, after all, numerous fans expressed a lot of criticism about the implementation. Now the developer studio has spoken out in a statement.

We already reported that Warcraft III: Reforged was sometimes harshly criticized by fans of the strategy classic due to various circumstances. This has now brought Blizzard on the scene, so that the studio has now commented on the debacle.
In the official forums, Blizzard affirmed that the long list of numerous criticisms should be followed carefully, with the cutscenes falling well short of expectations due to other promises. In this regard, it says: "As we explained at BlizzCon last year, we didn't want to remove the in-game cutscenes too far from the original. We went into this process even deeper after the show […] but ultimately wanted to we capture the real spirit of Warcraft 3 and let the players relive the unforgettable moments as they were, "the studio said.
The initial connection problems could be solved quickly and the problem with the "Classic Mode", which causes falsified colors compared to the original game, was already identified and we fixed it in an update. Many of the missing online features are said to be added to a major patch, and more details will be released in the coming weeks.
All in all, Blizzard puts in the extensive statement that you can be found here in the forums, close, that one takes the criticism and the feedback very seriously and is willing to take it up in several updates. Warcraft III: Reforged should remain an integral part in the future of the studio.
Meanwhile, Blizzard appears to be very accommodating when it comes to a refund of the purchase price, should you be unsatisfied with Warcraft III: Reforged and not want to wait for improvements. Corresponding inquiries are answered favorably via Battle.net, as is clear in the official subreddit thread. Even users who have played the remake for several hours still get their money back from Blizzard.
