Earlier classic games are being reissued with increasing frequency. Blizzard Entertainment is no exception and has already delivered a polished HD version of the sci-fi real-time strategy game with StarCraft Remastered. As is well known, the fantasy strategy game Warcraft III also receives a corresponding new edition.
Most recently, Warcraft III: Reforged has already entered a beta test phase, but now, according to Blizzard, "completely new creation" has a final release date. The optically contemporary version of the real-time strategy classic, which of course will receive further optimizations, should therefore be available from January 29, 2020.
In Warcraft III: Reforged you will get both the original main game Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and the expansion Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. In total, seven single-player campaigns with more than 60 missions await you – including refurbished graphics and new sound. The player assignment is now processed via Battle.net. Special feature of multiplayer: Here players will compete with each other regardless of the game version. So reforged gamers can also meet players of the original.
Early adopters can digitally pre-purchase the new edition through the Blizzard shop
