Warframe is getting another big update later this month, and this one will be especially fun for those who are obsessed with the story. Why? The backstory of everyone’s favorite spammer, quest invader, and fear-thrower, The Stalker, is getting a much-needed expansion.
This is part of a new quest called “Emerald Shadows,” which will introduce another Warframe that players can unlock and use. This is a common occurrence, but what is not common is the reintroduction of a mysterious character who seems to play a major role in the story.
The Stalker is either a beloved character or a hated one, depending on which Warframe player you ask. On one hand, he’s been around for a long time and is the source of some very cool weapons, such as Fear, Hatred, and Despair. However, he’s also known for spamming you every time you complete an assassination mission in the game, hacking into your missions, and has a very low drop rate for several of the weapons I mentioned earlier.
So for those who’ve been playing for a while, it’s good to know a little bit about him. Of course, the update doesn’t just include new quests; there’s also a new game mode called Ascension, a host of new arcane spells, augments, and edicts, a new clan quest, and a bunch of general quality of life fixes.
So if you haven’t played Warframe in a while, now might be a good time to jump back in. The Jade Shadows update will be released on all platforms on June 18th. Let us know what you think of this update below!
