Hard to believe, but true. The free-to-play shooter Warframe is now celebrating its eighth anniversary. There are weekly rewards and more as part of an event to mark the occasion.
Digital Extremes has managed to build a loyal community around Warframe and to continuously develop the game. A new patch was released recently, which among other things gave the game a next-gen upgrade for the Xbox consoles and provided new content. The developers are now celebrating the eighth birthday with an in-game event where you can get plenty of rewards.
From now until May 17th you have the possibility to collect weekly rewards, just by logging into the game. It starts with an additional weapon slot, the Excalibur skin Dex and Dex Sybaris. There are additional boosters for credits, experience points and more on the weekends.
In addition, there are discounts for the initiator package and an exclusive, time-limited merchandising campaign. There is also a community competition at the start where you can send in screenshots of your favorite boss fight. You can find more information on the Microsite for the anniversary.
