The free-to-play classic Warframe continues to enjoy great popularity and has finally got a feature that fans had to wait for forever.
They finally did it. After Warframe was given the option for cross-play between platforms in December 2022, cross-save has finally been activated for all players. In other words, your game progress can now be used on all platforms.
Digital Extremes took its time and implemented it very carefully since December. The accounts were connected in several phases in order to avoid overloading the servers and thus possibly destroying accounts.
Warframe now offers two options for cross-saving, firstly linking accounts and secondly merging accounts. However, the latter is only possible for accounts that were created before November 24th. This should now make it possible to combine pretty much all saves, progress and items for access on all platforms, with the exception of platform-exclusive content such as cosmetics.
If you want to find out more about the feature so that you don’t mess up when implementing it, you can get extensive information about it FAQ on the Warframe website
Warframe has been running for almost eleven years now and has continually been expanded and modernized. Another expansion, Whispers in the Walls, was only released in December, and another big update, Dante Unbound, is scheduled for March.
