Digital limit Already announced Battle armor Cross-play and cross-save will take place sometime later this year.
This weekend we saw Digital Extremes’ Warframe fan event, TennoCon 2021, Happened, the developer has confirmed that Warframe players will be able to cross-play and cross-save later this year.
There is currently no specific release date for cross-play and cross-save, but the studio believes that players will be able to play 2021 with other Warframe users on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One before the end.
“Community is very important to us,” Digital Extremes chief operating officer Sheldon Carter said in the live broadcast. “Opening cross-play and cross-saving is just one of our more efforts to bring more players together, including extending Warframe’s fast and smooth action combat experience to other global gaming platforms.”
In the next expansion of the game, “New War”, all platforms will be updated simultaneously, so the console version and PC version of the game will be synchronized.
Carter mentioned that there were problems in negotiating cross-play with platform owners in the past, but the developers apparently managed to solve this famously difficult problem.
The studio also announced that a mobile version of the game is in development, but there is very little information about this.
