Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr was originally released in 2018 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. On the occasion of the big Warhammer Skulls event, a next-gen upgrade was also promised.

NACON and Neocore Games jointly announced that Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr will now also be specially optimized for the newer platforms PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Such a next-gen version is to be released in the further course of 2022, but does not yet have a specific date.

The new game version for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will include all 25 previously released additional content and expansions in addition to the main game, but will also receive additional next-gen features. Specifically, you can expect the following:

  • Nativer 4K-Support
  • Higher resolution textures
  • Improved physics including a destructible environment
  • Cross-Gen-Multiplayer-Modi
  • Using the features of the DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5

Announced in 2021, DLC for the new playable Sororitas class will also come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at a later date. The new character class – an Inquisitor of the Adepta Sororitas faction – also brings new class mechanics and item types to the game.
