The Suicide Squad story in the wild
If you like superhero games, the DC Comics universe and the Batman Arkham trilogy, you might be waiting for the next game from Rocksteady Studios. This third-person shooter called Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League aims to allow you to control the characters of this famous team of supervillains in order to eliminate the Justice League members brainwashed by Brainiac.
Rocksteady’s game is set to release on February 2nd for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, but there are major leaks regarding its plot. In fact, after a closed alpha phase, gameplay snippets, as well as some cutscenes and other audio files, were leaked even though they should never have been made available to the public. These reveal certain essential elements of the scenario, including the fate of some iconic characters. If you want to know the details, click on the spoiler tag below. The rest of the article is guaranteed to be spoiler-free.
One of the first surprises revealed by the leaks is the presence of one Poison ivy in the form of a child. If you have played previous games in the Arkham universe, you know that she is said to have died in the episode Arkham Knight. So everything points to the fact that Poison Ivy, like Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, managed to come back thanks to her powers, albeit with the necessity of having to go back a few years of growth.
The joker also appears to be back, although in a version that doesn’t quite resemble the version that died in Arkham City. Perhaps a clue confirming the existence of an alternate universe, but it’s impossible to know for sure.
But the biggest leak regarding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s scenario mainly concerns the character of Batman
Rocksteady has already communicated
As you have probably understood, we strongly recommend that you be very careful when visiting the Internet if you do not want important elements of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to be spoiled. Like social networks Twitter or Reddit Since these are particularly risky areas, do not forget to hide a few words about the Rocksteady game if you want to continue using it. The developers, for their part, have apparently spoken out following these leaks:
We can’t wait for players to experience the story we’ve written for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League when it launches early in the new year. We hope everyone can play the game and feel every moment of the action for themselves.
Since the details were revealed before the game’s release, this is very disappointing. All we can do is urge you to avoid spoilers wherever you can. And please don’t try to ruin other players’ fun by sharing spoilers.
We look forward to seeing you in Métropolis on February 2, 2024.
Between the Grand Theft Auto VI leaks, those from Insomniac, and now those from Rocksteady, such events are gradually becoming more common in the industry. We hope you don’t get any spoilers if you want the game’s release to be a surprise.
