With the launch of Ashika Island, Warzone 2 Season 2, and Resurgence, players were missing one thing: plates. In fact, the chances of armor plates dropping are so low that Raven Software stepped in to make sure you’re adequately protecting yourself.
This is a good move, since the fast-paced playstyle is essentially part of the Resurgence game mode, where combat is common and intense. Due to the high number of fights, you’re likely to lose plates a lot, which obviously increases the need for plates while you’re playing.
A quick glance at Warzone Reddit reveals numerous posts featuring players begging for more plates. One such post by user alexandremix breaks down the problem as: “There are no dishes in the box. Just on the floor. After 1 minute, all the dishes are gone. I see myself trying to find the dishes every time. When I kill When killing opponents who don’t have a plate, they don’t spawn a plate like in Warzone 1.”
But thankfully, the response time for this issue was quick. It’s not even a day since Warzone 2 Season 2 and Ashika Island launched, here’s a hotfix where every dead player drops at least one plate upon death in addition to all the plates in the backpack. This should allow players who participate in a lot of battles to get a steady stream of armor plates to keep them in the game.
📢 We released an update #warzone2 Resurgence guarantees that eliminated players will drop at least one armor plate. They will also continue to drop any additional armor plates stored in the backpack. 🛡️📈
