Call of Duty: Warzone 2 always offers changing cosmetic bundles for real money. Inside are mostly operator and weapon skins. At first glance, the new tracer bundle »Dr. Kushlov« with a cannabis theme is nothing unusual. But players have quickly discovered that it is are by no means new cosmeticsbut reskins from old Warzone items.
This is how old and “new” skins look in comparison
YouTuber Ryan B. shows on Twitter, how similar certain skins from Warzone: Caldera and Warzone 2 look. Both the operator and the weapon skin differ only in details from the respective template. The weapon also doesn’t fire lightning balls like its predecessor, but green tracer ammunition with smoke effects – but that’s not a significant change for many.

The bundle costs 2,400 CoD points, which corresponds to around 20 dollars in real money. Most players don’t like the package at all.
The comments at Twitter, Reddit and Co. range from resigned to fuming. What annoys many: Warzone 2 does not allow you to take cosmetics you have already bought from the first part, even if you use the same Activision account. Some now feel Being asked to pay twice for (almost) the same content.
Reddit-User RequiemOfI writes about the »Dr. Kushlov Bundle:
Now it makes sense why you couldn’t take previous bundles with you, right?
The_Pursuer_2404 agrees with him in the same Reddit thread:
It’s pretty obvious now that things like the Classic Ghost are returning and only the bare minimum has been changed. They literally took everything out and are now reselling it. What a shit.
Many are basically frustrated by such reskins – and by the fact that such bundles are apparently bought often enough to be profitable for Activision and the developers.
How do you feel about the topic? Does it annoy you when almost identical cosmetics from the predecessor are sold in the new game, or are you happy about the return of skins you previously owned? Or do you generally stay away from CoD bundles that cost you real money anyway? Write to us.
