As fans engage in a monstrous battle in Season 3, new Warzone 2 details have just been leaked online. And the continuation of the famous battle royale will bring many changes.

New leaks on the horizon for Warzone 2. Even if its release is still a long way off, many new elements seem to have been leaked. Activision-Blizzard would plan major changes, particularly around inventory management and loadouts.

Call of Duty Warzone 2 inspired by Blackout

We owe this new information to the Youtubeur NeroKino. If his name is unknown to you, the credibility of these leaks seems to be there as more reputable sources like Tom Henderson and VGC heard (partly) the same from their side. However, the famous tweezers remain de rigueur. According to the videographer, Warzone 2 would be modeled after Blackout, Call of Duty Black Ops 4’s much-maligned battle royale.

Big changes would be expected in the gameplay structure. For example, the armor system would have been reviewed and it would now be necessary to equip yourself with a specific bag before hoping to recover the armor. Likewise, the supply drop would have been redesigned to be closer to what Blackout did. Don’t expect a package to be delivered to you for a few bucks. In Warzone 2, the most powerful loot is hidden in “bastions”, fortified and more dangerous locations. It would then be a question of the goals that need to be met in order to restore the pre-recorded loadouts.

Other expected changes

Also, weapons in Warzone 2 would only have 5 attachments, down from 8 currently. Similar to Blackout, inventory management should also be a big part of this sequel, although the source hasn’t elaborated on that. Incidentally, the YouTuber states that other blackout mechanics could return to this battle royale, while the Highrise map from Modern Warfare 2 would return.

This new BR should also house a practice area to test its equipment. It remains to be seen if all of this information is true and how it all fits together. Perhaps the Summer Game Fest celebrations will make Activision-Blizzard come out of its silence and unveil this famous Warzone 2 as it should.
