Before season 8, fans designed the "best, worst ends" for Game of Thrones. Spectators let off steam and prophesied, among other things, a particularly bizarre finale for the song of ice and fire: the game for the iron throne should be formulated as a simulation or more precisely "not really" point out.
Don't get me wrong: Of course, Game of Thrones is a fantasy epic based on the fictional works of author George R.R. Martin. Fans also wanted it to be one at the end of season 8 Crossover with the HBO series Westworld should come.
Specifically, this means that in the final scene of Game of Thrones it turns out that the argument between Starks and Lannisters Targaryens was only staged to entertain stinky park visitors. And that half of all players around the Iron Throne were robots and the other half were bored billionaires.

The crossover between Game of Thrones and Westworld explains
Thanks to season 3 episode 2 of Westworld's "The Winter Line", this not-too-serious fan theory now seems to have been confirmed: Although the TV series has already left Westworld, the two characters Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) and Stubbs returned (Luke Hemsworth) behind the scenes of the amusement park back.
And this is where the "crossover" of Game of Thrones and Westworld comes in: The two show runners from Game of Thrones David Benioff and D.B. Blows up as they tweak a giant dragon animatronic. However, this is not just any dragon, but rather Drogon – the favorite “son” of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) from Game of Thrones.
We can also use mannequins the clothes of Cersei Lennister (Lena Headey), while the promotional video for the previously unknown "Park 4" in Westworld shows actual footage from Croatia that was shot for Game of Thrones.
There is another allusion to the finale of the episode when Stubbs turns attacking security guards into bloody minced meat with a battle ax. Meanwhile, in the background we see how the amusement park's robots, called hosts, eat and drink undisturbed. Does anyone have to think of the red wedding?
Finally, you can the musical background by Ramin Djwandi do not forget. The composer was already largely responsible for the soundtrack of Game of Thrones and has also been committed to Westworld since season 1. In the said sequence, he reinterprets the title melody with string and plucked instruments – which only intensifies the episode's game of thrones vibe.
Everything on George R.R. Martin's crap has grown!
But how did the crossover between the two HBO series come about? Westworld creator Jonathan Nolan reports to Insider that the idea is the author of The Song of Ice and Fire George R.R. Thanks to Martin personally is.
Martin had always played around with the idea of letting Westeros live on as one of the various Westworld parks. Jonathan Nolan, his colleagues David Benioff and D.B. Weiss invited to the guest appearance and asked »her fire-breathing friend «Drogon

Was Game of Thrones "not real"?
The crossover between Game of Thrones and Westworld is much more likely to be an Easter egg that can be understood with a wink – and not to confirm the fan theory mentioned at the beginning. Even if many fans might have wished for exactly that after the disappointing eighth season of Game of Thrones …
For example, one could speculate that George R.R. Martin's novels The Song of Ice and Fire also exist in the world of Westworld. Perhaps the builders of the amusement parks were inspired by this, or even better: acquired the license for the book template at to create an actual Game of Thrones theme park.
