Helldivers 2 from publisher Sony on the Xbox Series X/S? If the fans had their way, this scenario would already be a reality.
In Helldivers 2 there is currently a bitter tug of war for control of two important sectors – and it doesn’t look good: The Terminator-like Automatons are mercilessly advancing planet by planet and pushing the united front of PS5 and PC players further and further back .
Now cross-platform calls for help are loud: numerous PS5 users are calling for one on social networks Mobilization on Xbox consoles on: A release on the competing console is needed.
The idea is simple: Since crossplay is already implemented, why shouldn’t players on Xbox Series X and S also join the fight against the Automatons and defend the human planets?
“Console war temporarily over”
On Twitter, Reddit and other platforms, PlayStation users are reaching out to their Xbox colleagues some websites already have headlines »Helldivers 2 could settle the console war between Xbox and PlayStation«. Nothing unites like a common enemy! Here some examples:

“Who exactly does this help?”
Unsurprisingly (and probably not entirely unselfish) this is also true Xbox boss Phil Spencer is part of the tenor and somewhat provocatively asks “who exactly it will help” if Helldivers 2 remains exclusive to PlayStation.
Microsoft recently announced its turn more Xbox games on rival platforms bring to. However, Sony has not yet made any such moves. So Helldivers 2 probably won’t get a boost from Xbox players, at least in the foreseeable future.
So PC and PS5 fighters will probably have to continue spreading democracy across the galaxy alone.
