The update was announced on the Bethesda official website. It will be released in 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and Windows PCs. An exact date is not yet known.
The announced performance mode, which is supposed to enable higher FPS, is particularly interesting for console players. Since Fallout 4 is known for demanding a lot of performance with its large open world, the consoles could certainly benefit from such a mode. If the performance is also improved in general, this could also be an advantage for weaker PCs.
