Game News We really feel like we’re interacting with the Zelda universe! This player creates a prototype glove to play Tears of The Kingdom and it’s amazing…
Lledos, a DIY YouTuber, wanted to make the experience of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom even more immersive by developing a whole series of connected devices. This device integrates sensors and allows you to perform actions in real time in the game. And we might as well say that the result is impressive!
When Zelda drives creativity inside and outside the game
Although The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom did not win the Game of the Year title and divided players while enjoying great commercial success, it was one of the biggest games of 2023. Reusing and profoundly transforming the kingdom of Hyrule (or rather, what remains of it), it invited us to defeat Ganondorf and find Princess Zelda, who had disappeared. Sky islands, ground, villages and underground – there were many new features that allowed the biggest fans of Breath of the Wild to rediscover the world. Equipped with new powers, Link offers players even more freedom.

It is possible to combine weapons with resources, create vehicles or even cross surfaces. Enough to let your imagination run wild! The game developers were also surprised by the lengths players went to solve the problems posed by the game and level designers. However, there are some who are more creative than others. For example, videographer Lledos decided to increase his immersion by creating a sort of “mech suit”. In other words, he created a suit full of technology that would replace the classic Nintendo controllers.
He doesn’t play with Link, he IS Link
He presented the whole thing in a video where he explained the hardware and software design step by step, but also showed how he synchronized his creation with the game and used a real shield and a sword to fight enemies with precision and impressive responsiveness. To make the experience even more intense, Lledos wears special gloves, obviously reminiscent of Nintendo’s Power Glove, which allow him to build, carry and fuse objects, mimicking Link’s abilities.
The performances of Lledos’ creation do not end here, as he manages to climb walls, fight bosses, tame horses and solve puzzles. He even uses a real bow to knock down enemies, surprising himself with its effectiveness. Obviously, this is a unique creation, not at all intended for commercialization. This is not the first time that Lledos has stood out for his immersive peripherals, as he is also known for having created an axe for Skyrim or a special pistol for Resident Evil 4. He is even the originator of devices that capture screams of horror in games to alter the reaction of enemies and the environment.
