Mostly known for his love of FMV (The Complex, Late Shift, The Bunker), Wales Interactive is also a label proud of its Welsh roots and it is on these that Maid of Sker relies to tell its story. This title in subjective view leads us in 1898 around the myth of the Sker hotel. The player is in command of Thomas Evans, a musician who will have to venture into this sinister building to save the woman he loves. He will have to survive without a weapon, know how to be silent and use his ears to the best of his ability to spot threats.

Wales Interactive highlights the participation of the pen behind Don't Knock Twice and SOMA, without citing exactly who it is about. The game is inspired in any case by the story of Elisabeth Williams, a tale according to which a Welsh young lady lost her life after having been locked up by her father in the 1800s. Starting from this folklore, the title from Wales Interactive "tells the story of a family empire caught in the noose of the supernatural and the terror that stifles the gardens of its hotel", according to a press release telling us in passing that the game will be displayed in 4K on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

The interpretation of the Welsh lullaby Suo Gân used in this trailer is by Tia Kalmaru who also lends her voice to the game. Maid of Sker will enjoy a boxed release on PS4, Xbox One and Switch by Perp Games.
