Fans of CD Projekt’s futuristic role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 have been looking forward to the first major story add-on for a long time, even if the official announcement was delayed until April 2022 and revealed that we still have to be patient.
So far, however, almost nothing was known about the scope, setting and story of the expansion. A new, alleged dataminer leak now wants to shed light and provide more detailed information about the long-awaited addon. As always, however: Read the following paragraphs with a certain amount of caution, as the leak has not been confirmed by CD Projekt and the addon is still under development.
We have looked at the leaked data and summarized the most important information from the Dataminer find. These are primarily leaked dialogues. We want to avoid spoilers, which is why we won’t give any story details. We also refrain from sharing sources for the leak and would like to ask you not to pass on any links or references to the leaked data.
But what we are happy to share with you is our overview of the big update 1.5, which finally brings Cyberpunk into the state in which it should have been by release:

Cyberpunk 2077 – 1,000 small changes – a big impact!
That’s probably what you can expect in the upcoming story addon
After viewing the more than 250 files, the following things are very likely:
- The scope of the addon should roughly correspond to that of Hearts of Stone for The Witcher 3.
- The Pacifica district, its fixer Mr. Hands and netrunning, i.e. the hacking of systems and people, will play a major role in the story.
- Apart from that, various side missions also seem to be included.
- You will go beyond Pacifica a brand new area can enter.
- You will meet one there too completely new factionbecause the mega corporations stay away from this area.
- The DLC should fit seamlessly into the main game.
- Johnny Silverhand and his past are also a central element in the addon.
- Likewise, the relationship with some other well-known characters is deepened.
- The main story will start at a extra ending enriched when you have completed the DLC.

This is how it goes with updates and DLCs
How will this all play out?
Of course, it’s difficult to deduce the actual gameplay just from English and Polish dialogues, but it seems that quite an action-packed adventure awaits us here, with new mechanics, vehicles and probably weapons.
Since netrunning and ripperdocs play a role, new implants would also be obvious. The quality of the dialogues corresponds to that of the main game and if the staging of the plot succeeds, it should be both exciting and varied.
It is still unclear whether the new area and its faction will remain accessible after the DLC has been completed or whether it is a one-off excursion. However, one thing is for sure: with another option for the end of the main game, the addon has a strong motivator to play it again. Well, except maybe for Steffi, who liked the worst ending best anyway.
