The weaponry in Call of Duty Warzone is usually constantly changing. Contrary to popular opinion, the game meta does not set immovable pillars. The meta weapons are usually fixed at the top of the tables because most players are traditional, but below there is a power struggle that changes every week and is at the mercy of swings and fashions.
Every Friday I tell you about the state of the weapons of Warzone: which are the most used, kill more or less, win more or less games… and most importantly: which ones go up or down in the tables. In addition, I will tell you about some relevant changes regarding weapon swings.
Warzone Armament
Before starting with the figures, it should be noted that in recent days there have been two arms swings. Last week (late July) there was a general rocking in Call of Duty Warzone loadouts that benefited and disadvantaged certain weapons. Some of the beneficiaries were the VLK Rogue (shotgun) and .50 GS (pistol) among others.
The balance brought “forgotten” Modern Warfare weapons back to the fore. However, Warzone received another weapon balance in early August that introduced some new changes, including lowering (a bit) three favorite Modern Warfare weapons that were increased: Kilo 141
All this has made the tables of WZRanked, source that I am going to use for these guides, they went completely crazy, they have even shaped the meta. Until a week ago, the H4 Blixen and Marco 5 submachine guns were the undisputed kings. Now assault rifles and shotguns have reclaimed their place in the meta. There is a little variety again… but not much.
Most used and effective weapons this week (July 1-7)
The last two weapon swings have caused all three tables to change significantly. In order from left to right, you can see the tables dedicated to the pick ratio (the most chosen), K/D ratio (the ones that kill the most) and win ratio (the ones that star the most wins).
Ratio de Pick
Let’s start with the pick ratio. As I teased on July 14 in your guide, the KG M40 was climbing the ranks in every way… until it became the most used weapon this week. It has a pick ratio of 8.30, surpassing the submachine gun by one point H4 Blixen (7.21). In third and fourth place are the Marco 5 (6.94) and NZ-41 (6.85), previously at the top of this table.
Finally, the assault rifle Kilo 141 (5.84) of Modern Warfare increases its pick rate to position itself as the most used weapon after the last two balances. Her numbers show that she has been very chosen, but the second weapon balance has taken away her efficiency and this is reflected in the red numbers of K / D and win ratio, 0.81 and 1.82 respectively.
K/D ratio
The K/D ratio or how much the weapons kill are usually the figures that players are most interested in. While the pick ratio only shows the overall community pick, the K/D ratio shows the overall weapon effectiveness. The H4 Blixen It is still the weapon that kills the most, no surprise.
This week’s surprise comes with the second and third place, which are occupied by KG M40 y VLK Rogue, two weapons that I noticed in their guides that were going to the top of the table and so it has been. Despite receiving a nerf on the second swing (he needed it, it was unbalanced), the shotgun VLK Rogue remains one of the most killing weapons in Warzone this week.
It is interesting to see the assault rifle NZ-41the submachine gun Marco 5 and the ZRG 20MM sniper so low on the chart. Also, the beloved Kar98k (Vanguard) doesn’t even make an appearance. It is in the middle of the table. This is proof that the popular option is not always the most effective.
win rate
The win rate does not measure neither the favorites of the community nor how much they kill. On paper, they are the weapons that give the most victories to their bearers. I feel obliged to clarify that this does not imply that they kill more or that they are better. Many of these weapons are carried as a complement to the main ones for very specific situations.
I’m half surprised to see the Combat Shield in first position. This is a clear example of what I was talking about in the previous paragraph: they are not used as the main weapon to win, but they are very useful for making group pockets, for face-to-face encounters in the last circles and to protect your back when you are unequipped
The shotgun VLK Roguethe submachine gun H4 Blixen and the assault rifle KG M40 they are the leading weapons in victories. In addition, they match the weapons that have the highest K/D ratio and are favored in the case of the KG M40.
In summary: This week’s featured weapons are the VLK Rogue Shotgun, the SMG H4 Blixen and the assault rifle KG M40. You can build your class build based on these weapons: KG M40 as the main weapon and complement it with the VLK Rogue or the H4 Blixen.
Before finishing, I will also share with you which are the secondary weapons with the highest pick ratio, K/D and victories. In this case, the most used and effective secondary weapons belong (in order) to Modern Warfare, Cold War, and Vanguard.
