What a strange CoD
You now know what we think of CoD MW 2. But what are other gaming professionals saying about Infinity Ward’s latest shooter? We round up the opinions of some of the most well-known streamers and YouTubers.
This is what experts think of CoD Modern Warfare 2
Shroud: The well-known shooter pro, who now makes a living from streaming and YouTube, said something very controversial during a stream. Namely, that he would rather play Battlefield 2042 right now. This is because BF2042 meanwhile better
is, although it can’t keep up with weapon models and animations.

TimTheTatman: This streamer and shooter expert also has few words of praise for CoD MW 2. He expressed that he would rather not stream the new game. He gave skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) as the reason. So he had to constantly counter sweater
play, which would destroy the game for him.
Skill-based matchmaking is particularly criticized by stronger players because they have to compete against other players at a high level. This makes dominating matches difficult and exhausting.

JackFrags: The streamer and YouTuber praises CoD MW 2 for great attention to detail and particularly praises the new Prisoner Rescue mode something great
one of the most unusual CoD modesbe.
The style of play calls for a more tactical approach, which goes well with the slightly slower, more measured pace of this iteration:

Westie: This shooter YouTuber devoted a video to CoD Modern Warfare 2 and highlights an interesting aspect of world design. And many maps are stuck together like Matryoshka dolls. For example, the Map Embassy is actually in the big upcoming Warzone map Al-Mazrah. So there are small maps for 6v6, which in turn are part of larger Ground War maps that can also be found on Al-Mazrah. It is also speculated that this will also apply to locations set in Mexico in the future when a putative second Warzone map appears.
Here’s a summary of what we know so far about the new Warzone map:

This approach gives the game world (also in the campaign, by the way) a sense of coherent history. You can watch Westie’s video here:
