What good is war? Not much, but that doesn’t stop Middle-earth from having one in the Lord of the Rings: The Throne Season 2 trailer

No one likes war, but unfortunately for everyone in The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power, there is little that can be done to prevent it.

It’s been a few years since the first season of The Lord of the Rings aired, but we’re only a few weeks away from the start of season 2. Ahead of the latest season, Amazon has released the final trailer for the show, showing off scenes of war all over Middle-earth. It looks like this season will have some pretty big scenes, with armies of orcs and similar creatures fighting each other on huge battlefields – you know, the usual Lord of the Rings scenes! This season covers one of the show’s major battles, the Battle of Eregion, and we can say that this battle is not going to be easy.

On top of all the big war stuff, Celebrimbor is trying to come to terms with what he’s done, especially helping Sauron with his plans. Of course, Sauron can be seen wandering around enacting his plans, and he looks just as normal as he does in every trailer. Fan favorite Tom Bombelle doesn’t show up, but he should be around somewhere, so you can expect that, too. All in all, it looks like you’re going to have a lot of fun!

Ring of Thrones had one of the largest budgets ever for a TV series, totaling around $465 million, or nearly $60 million per episode. It’s unclear if the budget for season 2 will match that, but it certainly looks like a lot of money will be invested in it. Season 1 was also generally well received, so let’s see if season 2 can keep up the momentum.

The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Power of the Rings will premiere on Prime Video on August 29 with three episodes, and will be broadcast weekly thereafter.
