In Star Wars Outlaws, we play a new character created specifically for the game, Kay Vess. With actress Humberly González lending her features to the young villain for the game, we wonder if we might see her in other media in the future. So we asked the developers directly!

A new heroine for Star Wars

Takes place between episodes V and VI of the original trilogy. Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world third-person shooter in which you play as Kay Vess, a young woman reminiscent of Han SoloThe developers at Massive Entertainment present it as “Villain“, an English term used in movies to describe the smuggler and which we could translate here as “villain”. In Outlaws, Actress Humberly González gives the character her facial features and from there it is only a step until she plays her in reality. That’s why we asked the makers of Kay Vess directly what they thought about it, and this is what they told us.

After the video game Kay Vess in live action?

As part of the Summer Game Fest, we were able to play Star Wars Outlaws for the first time. After about an hour of handling We spoke to Julian Gerighty, the game’s creative director, about various aspects of the game. But to go a little beyond the scope of the title, we wanted to know what would happen to Kay Vess after the game’s release. It would not be surprising to see the young person again in the future in comics or books or even in more ambitious projects such as series on Disney+ or live-action films with Humberly González reprising the role. But unfortunately, the question seems to be asked a little too often, considering what Julian Gerighty told us:

For me, the game is what counts at the moment. To be honest, the only thing that matters to me is the game, I don’t care about the resteven if it’s not a politically correct answer. For me, video games are the highest form of media, I wouldn’t want to do anything else. Our chance here is video games, so maybe (that Kay could come to life in live action) and I hope so Because if it gets discovered by my mom or by people who don’t necessarily play video games, it could be cool. But right now, it’s the game that counts.

Currently, We are therefore not close to seeing Humberly González embody his digital avatar in a live-action project. But who knows, maybe it could bear fruit over time? One thing is certain: all this depends on the success of Star Wars Outlaws, scheduled for August 30 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
