Ghost of Tsushima gets a sequel and reveals the new main character in the first trailer
After the success of Ghost of Tsushima on the Playstation and most recently on the PC, the sequel Ghost of Yotei has now been announced. This time it’s set in a new region in northern Japan, in what is now Hokkaido. The sequel is also set around 300 years later and accordingly introduces a new main character, the Ronin Atsu.
The developers have not yet revealed what the story of Ghost of Yotei is about in their trailer. In terms of gameplay, they want to be based on the predecessor, but still introduce numerous improvements and innovations. The fact that the title is being developed exclusively for the more powerful PS5, while Ghost of Tsushima was still running on the PS4, should also help. The game is set to be released in 2025 exclusively for the PS5.
