Valorant gets one rated mode, so similar to the ranked mode of competitor CS: GO. Game Director Joe Ziegler announced this on Twitter. It can also be deduced from his statement regarding the so-called »Rated« mode that the beta phase lasts longer than originally planned.
"Our first test of Rated is coming in a few weeks, stay tuned."
Our first “rated” testing is coming in a couple weeks, stay tuned.

Week-long Valorant beta
Not a short beta: According to the Game Director, the Valorant beta will last at least »a few weeks«. Originally, Riot Games had expressed the plan to keep the beta "as short as possible", but also left the option open to extend it.
Beta to release? The beta may even “close to the release” in summer 2020, as executive producer Anna Donlon explained in the interview. However, this only applies if the planned release date can also be met and internally everything goes as planned at the current time.
Riot wants to identify and react to problems that arise during the beta to ensure a smooth launch. This also adds new content, such as a new Venice map for Valorant. In the night from April 14th to 15th, an update for Valorant goes live, which is supposed to fix various bugs.
How does the rated mode work in Valorant?
Not much is known about exactly how Valorant's Ranked mode works. Only that Rank symbols give an indication that it should be oriented close to the competitor CS: GO or League of Legends.

Players are therefore expected to be ranked in Valorant by ranked matches, the reflects your own performance. If you improve by winning more matches, you rank up. Only the best Valorant players make it into the Immortal ranks, similar to the Global Elite level in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
