- In the new WhatsApp beta, Messenger gets a new camera mode.
- This makes it easier to record videos.
- It is still unclear when the new feature will be available to everyone.
If you start your WhatsApp messenger, you will find a camera area in the middle of the status bar. As soon as you press it, you can take photos or videos, which you can then set as a WhatsApp status or send to your contacts. In a future version of WhatsApp, the design of the camera could change.
According to the website WABetaInfo some beta testers have access to a modified camera mode that makes it easier to switch from images to videos. At the moment you have to hold down the camera mode shutter button for a few seconds to record videos. In the beta there is an extra button for this under the trigger.
It is still unclear when the new camera mode will be available to everyone. A new symbol in the main menu of the messenger is also causing a stir.
