As is so often the case with a new version of an operating system, there are a few teething problems that have to be ironed out with further minor updates. The update from iOS to 16.1 is therefore eagerly awaited by many people, as more and more users are reporting problems with the battery life.
In addition to the bug fixes, there are some useful features added. You can read exactly what they are here:

When is the update coming?
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman predicts the update of iPadOS 16 and 16.1 respectively for the last week of Octo ber. The latest iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16.1 beta updates have the identical build numbers. Therefore, it stands to reason that you can expect the latest iPhone update at the same time.
That means the update should be available for compatible iPhones in the week beginning October 24, 2022. As with the major iOS 16 release, all iPhones from the eighth generation will receive the new update:
- iPhone 8 (Plus)
- iPhone X/XS/XR
- iPhone 11 (Pro/Pro Max)
- iPhone SE (2020)
- iPhone 12 (Mini/Pro/Pro Max)
- iPhone SE (2022)
- iPhone 13 (Mini/Pro/Pro Max)
- iPhone 14 (Plus/Pro/Pro Max)
If you already have iOS 16 installed on your iPhone, keep your eyes peeled and your iPhone battery charged starting next week. As soon as we have more information on the exact timing, we’ll update this article and bring you all the news.
