When this iconic character finally arrived, it was eagerly awaited

Street Fighter 6 is an excellent game, but it was still missing a great character. Fortunately, we are reminded that it is finally near.

Last year, the world of fighting games was rocked by the arrival of Street Fighter 6. The new work gave us a big slap in the face with impeccable graphics and perfected mechanics. Not to mention the 5-star casting provided to us. However, despite the quality of the squad, one particular fighter was missing. So fans wondered if it would ever release, which Capcom finally confirmed. And recently we finally got a great trailer that shows us the whole thing.

So who is your favorite character in Street Fighter 6? Chun Li? Luke? Ryu? Or maybe Yuri? But what about those who prefer Akuma? This one hasn’t arrived in the game yet, but you know it will be available soon. In fact, the studio had already made it clear that he would be there as a fourth additional fighter in the spring of 2024 Year 1 Character Pass (according to Rashid, AKI and Ed). All that remained was to crystallize the news with a trailer, and we were able to enjoy that yesterday at Capcom Highlights.

Akuma got to show off his big muscles in a very edgy trailer that shows us him in full training. Please note that this is a cutscene and not gameplay, which may disappoint some. We would have liked to see him in action, but luckily that will be the case soon. In the meantime, we can enjoy this delicious show of force. Given our man’s popularity, it’s natural that players will flock to try him out. It remains to be seen what he’ll be worth in combat, but we’re not too worried on this point.

Apart from that, the Japanese company tells us that Street Fighter 6 is expected to have a second year of content that should be substantial. Nothing really surprising, but it’s always important to remember. We don’t know any more at the moment. In any case, to deal with Akuma, you should be aware that he will be present in the modes Battleground, Combat center et World Travel. In the latter you will find an area called “Gokuento”, the place where you can become his student.
