Many retailers in Germany are opening their doors again after the government has loosened restrictions in the wake of the corona pandemic.
Businesses relevant to gamers and technology enthusiasts such as Gamestop, Saturn and media market welcome customers again – under strict health protection requirements. For example, customers have to wear a face mask during their stay and employees monitor compliance with safety regulations and distance rules.
However, not all stores open in all states. Where customers can go shopping again, we summarize here compactly for you.
The Mediamarkt and Saturn businesses in the federal states have been operating differently since April 22, 2020.
About in Bavariastores, which are particularly badly affected by the corona crisis with high infection numbers, remain closed.

For health protection
In the stores of Mediamarkt and Saturn, as in most public institutions nationwide, special provisions on health protection apply.
These measures apply
At Mediamarkt and Saturn, only a limited number of customers can be in business at the same time. A Minimum distance of one and a half meters between people must be observed.
For the protection of the employees, plexiglass panes should be available in the checkout area. All sellers and customers also have to be almost everywhere in Germany always wear mouth and nose protection. Through special training, the employees should be prepared for the exceptional situation.
Many retailers also target Disinfectant for cleaning shopping trolleys, dispensers for hand disinfection are available for customers and employees.
Customers should help
To reduce personal contact, customers are stopped to pay as contactlessly as possiblesuch as using a credit or debit card.
In addition, many branches offer one Pick-up station where customers can receive goods that they previously ordered and paid for online between 10:00 and 18:00.

Gamestop: Overview of open stores
Closed shops: The situation looks mixed at the branches of the games retailer Gamestop. Here all shops in Saxony, individual shops in North Rhine-Westphalia, Ludwigshafen, Heidelberg and Berlin as well as most shops in Bavaria remain closed.
There are exceptions in Bavaria: Individual shops in the Bavarian cities of Munich, Nuremberg, Würzburg, Fürth and Kaufbeuren are exceptions, here the doors open again from April 27th.
