Lackey for Darth Vader: A notorious bounty hunter, Black Krssantan first appeared in 2015 in the first edition of the Darth Vader comics, which fit into the new Star Wars canon. Both Boba Fett and Black Krssantan were hired by Darth Vader to carry out various assignments for the Emperor’s right hand.

Assassin for Jabba: Both bounty hunters also worked regularly for Jabba, the Hutte even referring to them as his two best agents. So there is already a certain history between Fett and Krssantan that could still play a role in the new TV series on Disney Plus.

Krrsantan’s origin: Not too much is known about Krssantan’s history. We only know that as a young Wookiee he was banned from his home planet Kashyyyk and then trained as a gladiator by the legendary Xonti siblings. Later, Krssantan became an assassin and bounty hunter and repeatedly met well-known characters from the Star Wars universe.

Fight with Obi-Wan: During an assignment for Jabba the Hutt, for example, Krssantan met Obi-Wan Kenobi while the old Jedi master watched over the young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine. A fight broke out between the two, in which Krssantan lost out and Kenobi gave him the scar over his left eye.

And also with Chewbacca: Black Krssantan later also took part in a galaxy-wide bounty hunt for Luke Skywalker that Darth Vader had commissioned. His paths crossed with those of Han Solo and Chewbacca, which resulted in a brutal confrontation, from which neither of the two emerged as the clear winner.

Santy and Aphra: Black Krssantan’s role in the Marvel Comics is of course particularly shaped by his relationship with the archaeologist Doctor Aphra, who has become a fan favorite over the years: Aphra and Krssantan are not friends in the classic sense, but have always contributed suicidal missions together and experienced one or the other common adventure.

It cannot be ruled out that, with Black Krssantan’s live-action debut, Doctor Aphra will also appear in a Star Wars series or film – but this does not necessarily have to be The Book of Boba Fett. A direct confrontation between fat and krssantan in the coming episodes definitely seems inevitable.

Doctor Aphra can be called a kind of Indiana Jones of the Star Wars universe with a clear conscience. Image source: Lucasfilm and Marvel, comic book cover by Kamome Shirahama.
