Summary
- How do I access “Who Wants to Live Forever,” the game’s new ending?
- When is the point of no return in Who Wants to Live Forever?
If you look at the new achievements available in Cyberpunk 2077 since the launch of the Phantom Liberty DLC, you’ll quickly notice this This famous expansion has four different endings to complete its scenario.
But in addition to these, The Phantom Liberty DLC also adds a comprehensive ending to the Cyberpunk 2077 base game. So far we’ve had to make do with five different endings, all accessible via the famous Nocturne OP55N1 quest. You can now expect a sixth ending, available right after the DLC ends. This means that if you choose to complete the game with this new option, you won’t even have to play through the entire base game to access it, just what is necessary to access Phantom Liberty and its entire main story . Be careful though, this new ending will contain some different dialogue depending on your progress in the base game. Be careful, the following lines reveal important elements of Phantom Liberty’s story.
To access the new ending called “The tower“, you must first unlock the famous quest “Who wants to live forever?“, which itself will lead to “Things that were done have changed“. To do this, They must ensure that Songbird returns to the hands of the FIA. You can get there in two different ways.
If you have chosen to partner with Songbird on Firestartercontinue your journey to the end of the quest The killing moon. At this moment, just before you make your way to the rocket, you have the choice of handing Songbird over to Reed or eliminating the latter. If you want to get the new ending to the game, give Songbird to Reed (“King of Swords” ending).
If you decided to ally with Reed in Firestartercontinue your journey to the end of the quest Somewhat damaged
When does “Who Wants to Live Forever” reach the point of no return?
Once you’ve handed Songbird over to Reed, and therefore to the FIA, you’ll have completed the Phantom Liberty DLC and have access to its credits (as well as the excellent music of the same name, worthy of the best James Bond credits). When you regain control of V, you will be eligible for a new quest that will require you to wait for Reed’s call. Please note that it may take several game days for the latter to arrive. So don’t hesitate to abuse the Wait Faster command from the pause menu or otherwise engage in side quests.
After Reed calls you, you can meet him in person to discuss your adventure and its consequences. He will then offer to call you back if he has any further news about the cure he promised you. Again, wait several days for Reed to reappear, which should start the Who Wants to Live Forever quest.
First, consider the following This quest will serve as a point of no returnjust like Nocturne OP55N1 at the end of the base game. By the time Reed calls you back to let you know everything is ready, all you have to do is log in The roof of Misty’s Esoterica. and to discuss Johnny to confirm your choice or not. If you choose to listen to the rock star in your head and not call Reed, you can go back and do whatever you want, including accessing the other endings. Note that Refusing to call Reed once he’s on the roof will not revoke your access to the new ending. You can come back and call Reed at any time if you change your mind, and even call him at the point of no return in the night quest OP55N1. When you’re ready to finish the game with the new ending, call Reed.
You can then contact your relatives and inform them that you will be away for a few days and are authorized to do so several final farewell conversations with Johnny (who cannot survive the operation) while an FIA vehicle picks you up and transports you to Langley, where the best surgeons in the country are waiting for you to remove the Relic chip.
