The Loadout Drops in Call of Duty: Warzone are a controversial topic: For many players, they are simply too powerful and should be taken out of the game – even streaming star Ninja finds that they make the Battle Royal mode unnecessarily boring.
But this is not the only problem with the equipment boxes: A bizarre collision bug turns them into deadly traps that take players into the hereafter and out of the game with the slightest touch.
Str ange killer-box collisions
In the past few days, more and more video clips have appeared on YouTube, Twitch and Reddit, in which players have become victims of dangerous goods.
For example, Reddit user "SuperSonik319" tried for fun to combine an ammunition box with a loadout drop in order to get a full loadout. With his experiment he did however, the box appears to have come to life and created an extremely powerful enemy, as his video shows:
Tried to combine a Munitions Box and a Loadout Drop for Full Loadout from r / COD war zone
Of course the box didn't really come to life, it is just a glitch: two objects of this type apparently cannot coexist in the same place on the Warzone map, which is why the loadout box starts to move. However, since the ammunition box sticks to the corner of the loadout, the animation is repeated endlessly.
Octbaby15 also shows that loadout boxes are not to be trifled with: As soon as you launch a melee attack against an equipment box in CoD: Warzone, it is briefly set in motion and kills the neighboring player with the slightest touch.
When I meleed a loadout drop I died, my friend do it too … was this a known bug from r / COD war zone
There was a similar mistake in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which turned a harmless office chair into a deadly trap. Warzone has a bigger problem than buggy boxes: The Battle Royale is currently overrun by cheaters because a simple feature is missing.
