In previous episodes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt… I looked for Jaskier in the Romero y Tomillo tavern. He wasn’t there, but I found an old friend, Zoltan. We both visited a number of women Dandelion hooked up with casually. One of them revealed that she talked a lot about a certain Callonetta, who finally turned out to be Priscilla, a troubadour. Zoltan and I headed to his show.
- Before continuing with our story, clarify that this will be one of the few publications that deals with the events of the game in giant leaps. In general, I find Novigrad extremely tedious and boring, except for the plot of Triss Merigold. Sorry for not going into too much detail.
The performance of Priscilla is among my two favorite Novigrad moments. The troubadour sings a beautiful song called “The Wolven Storm”, which talks about the love story she shared with Yennefer. The whole room gets excited and I start to feel a little impatient to meet her again. I just have to finish Novigrad to see her again.
Priscilla he notices our presence when the song ends and summons us to his room to talk in private. The next step is to find Bastard Son
My search for Bastard Son leads me to several locations where I end up slaughtering quite a few ruffians and bandits. I’m running out of clues. I decide to resort to True Roachanother acquaintance from the past, and the fascist of Radovid the Cruel, King of Redania. While Vernom complies with me despite our differences, King Radovid does so by owing me a favor… one I’ll never repay because I don’t deal in trash like him.
Redovid sells to Wily (Bastard Son) and hands me his location. He is in Oxenfurt. After massacring his guards, I find him in a room with 5-6 corpses of tortured and raped women. I interrogate hosts and I tell him why notor is it a good time to touch my morale while I run to hosts. She gives in and tells me that Ciri was helping Jaskier and Dudu, the doppler, and that she wanted repair a phylactery. When he finishes telling me everything, I kill him.
We organize a theater to find Dudu. Triss Merigold is involved in the search. Finally, we found him in a prison and set up an ambush during one of her transfers. I release Jaskier and he tells me that Ciri disappeared during the escape in which they ended up capturing him.
Before I leave, Radovid demands that I find the witch. Philippa Eilhart. I find clues about her whereabouts, but I decide to lie to her: I tell her that she is probably dead. She doesn’t believe me, but it’s not my problem. I said I don’t deal in trash, although her clues will be useful to Triss or Yennefer.
Favor to Triss Merigold, the liberator of the oppressed
I’ve already managed to piss off Radovid and Dijkstra. Now we go to the important thing. My last efforts in Novigrad are aimed at ayudar a Triss Merigold. He leads a resistance that intends to escape the city before The Order of Eternal Fire becomes more radical and begins to go after more people. The first step is locate and escort a youth from a wealthy family who became fond of alchemy.
Triss orders me to dress up. Obviously, she wears a beautiful dress. The party, which is actually a masquerade, takes place in a large villa with a mansion. We locate the young man and he quotes us at the village labyrinth while the fireworks are going off, it will be easier to sneak around. While we wait, Triss and I drink… among other things.
Everything goes according to plan. Or almost everything, because the meeting with Triss was completely improvised. The next step in the plan is break through the sewers
The triss farewell It is hard. I don’t want her to leave, but I can’t keep her. Despite our feelings (each in its own measure), I must be consistent with my thoughts and with Yenn. The first time I played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt I told her that I loved her and that she should stay, but the years have made me change my mind. This is the third game I’ve seen her leave and I feel the same pain as the first time, the same pain you feel when see a loved one go.
Dijkstra appears behind me. Please don’t start a fight. It’s not the moment. She calls me an idiot for letting her go. Maybe I am. Or maybe not. We are just two men with a divided heart on the dock of a putrid and corrupt city.
I leave Dijkstra behind and head towards the port area of Novigrad. This part of The Witcher 3 makes me really sad. I walk slowly until I reach the main tavern of the port. I go to the bartender for the strongest drink and a captain crazy enough to take me to the Islas Skelligewhere Yennefer awaits me.
