Annapurna Interactive and Mobius Digital announced, outer wilderness Now available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
On consoles, 2019’s critically acclaimed mystery first-person space simulator game will run at 60 frames per second in 4k. If you already own the upgrade on PS4 and Xbox One, you can download it for free.
Previously released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, this open-world exploration game will see you explore your surroundings, track mysterious signals, decipher ancient alien texts and roast marshmallows.
In the game, you’ll play as the newest member of Outer Wilds Ventures, a space program searching for answers in a strange, ever-evolving solar system. You’ll visit planets scattered with hidden locations that change over time, travel to subterranean cities before being engulfed in sand, and explore planetary surfaces that may even crumble beneath your feet.
Outer Wilds started as a student project by creative director Alex Beachum, the alpha version of which won the Seamus McNally Award and Design Excellence Award at the 2015 Independent Games Festival. Since its release, it has received numerous industry accolades, including awards.
