Obi-Wan's solo series landed on Disney Plus in 2022. Since then, the Kenobi actor has continued to campaign for his project. At the beginning of February 2024, he even asked fans to write to Disney to increase the chances of a second season.

However, fans are still waiting in vain for season 2. But currently something seems to be happening behind the scenes of Star Wars: Hayden Christensen makes a cryptic statement, which could indicate a comeback for him and McGregor.

A harmless meeting sparks hope

A few days ago, a post from the user crabtree_cody made the rounds on the X platform. He met Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker) at GalaxyCon 2024. There the actor pointed a possible reunion with Ewan McGregor.

Hayden Christensen is so nice. The guy chatted with everyone for a minute. I told him that he and Ewan must come together as Anakin and Obi-Wan before it is too late. Hayden said, “They're cooking something up together.”

Seems like McGregor and Christensen are already actively brainstorming about a return soon.

But what does McGregor himself actually say about it? This has actually been fueling fans' hopes for months. It was only at the beginning of October 2024 that he spoke in an interview at LA Comic Con about how Lucasfilm was already looking for ideas for new episodes.

If the 53-year-old had his way, he would first bring back his former padawan Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) aka Darth Vader. In the next step, the two could then appear together in flashbacks of the Clone Wars.

Ahsoka introduced the Clone Wars

There were also scenes like this in the fifth episode of the Star Wars series Ahsoka (2023) and the Star Wars fans were blown away. There, Anakin taught his former padawan Ahsoka one final lesson in a surprising comeback.

Accordingly, Disney could hit a nerve with fans with more live-action scenes from the Clone Wars.

But be warned: At the moment it is just speculation. There is still no second season announced for Obi-Wan Kenobi. Whether the two will return and in what context remains to be seen.

Ahsoka Season 2 has long been confirmed. Lucasfilm executive producer Dave Filoni recently spoke about some difficulties with the story. You can find out more about this in the box above.

By the way: You can watch the new Star Wars series Skeleton Crew on Disney Plus since December 3, 2024.
