Numerous fans and critics also came to this conclusion, what an extremely worthwhile score Rotten Tomatoes ensures.
When is season 2 coming? This question has bothered many fans ever since. So far, things have looked bleak for a continuation of the series in 2024. Now a statement from actor Stellan Skarsgård is making people sit up and take notice. Maybe season 2 will come this year?
Season 2 should have entered the home stretch
Opposite Inverse Skarsgård, who plays the rebel Luthen Rael in Andor, spoke about the current state of affairs as far as season 2 is concerned. His statement makes you sit up and take notice:
We are doing it right now, [Andor] Finish season 2. But it probably won’t come out for six months at the earliest.
Season 2 is almost finished? It’s no wonder that Star Wars fans should prick up their ears after this information and hope for a launch in 2024.

A release in 2024 is still unlikely
But it’s not quite that simple. In one Press release From December 2023, Disney listed all the films and series planned for this year – Andor was not among them. And it can be assumed that Disney and Lucasfilm know the plans surrounding Star Wars better than Stellan Skarsgård.
But season 2 cannot be ruled out in 2024: It is also conceivable that Disney was simply not sure last December whether the sequel to Andor would be ready in time for a release in 2024 and therefore decided not to mention it as a precautionary measure.
But if season 2 is really on such a good track as described by Stellan Skarsgård, it would be possible that Disney would still launch the new season of the series on Disney Plus.
But the fact is and remains: Unless Disney makes an official announcement, fans shouldn’t have too high hopes of being able to watch Andor Season 2 this year.
