Witcher animated film will follow Geralt's mentor Vesemir

Netflix revealed an early summary of the story of the upcoming Witcher animated film.

Officially announced last week, The Witcher: The Nightmare of the Wolf This is an upcoming animated movie produced by Netflix. Today, the streaming service shared the story.

Geralt's wizard mentor, Vesemir, is the protagonist of the story, which seems to have happened in his youth.

The summary of the story reads: "Vesemir started his journey as a wizard long before he directed Geralt, after the mysterious Deglan asked him through the law of surprise."

Lauren S. Hissrich and the duo behind the real-life wizard series, Beau DeMayo, are working on the film. Korra's legendary Studio Mir will animate. Outside of today's story, we know almost nothing about the nightmares of wolves.

For example, one big question is who Netflix chose to play Wesmere. Fans have been asking Mark Hamill to play Vesemir, and the actor has expressed interest.

Vesemir did not appear in the first seas on of the live-streaming series, so any actor they chose for an animated role could end up playing a role in future seasons.

The Wizarding Netflix show has been considered a success, and the company has not wasted any time updating it for the second season.
