Bose is launching a new Bluetooth speaker with the SoundLink Max. It should not be characterized by its sound, but also by its robust housing.
Bose is actually known for small Bluetooth speakers with good sound. With the SoundLink Max, the manufacturer is now bringing a larger model onto the market. It should not only sound good, but also be robust.
The Bose SoundLink Max is not just dust and waterproof according to IP67, it has a powder-coated and silicone-coated steel housing. This should make it immune to falls, hits or scratches in everyday life, and UV radiation or corrosion should not be able to harm it.
Robust speaker with aux input
For a spatial stereo experience, Bose installs an articulated array with three sound transducers on the front of the speaker, while two specially developed passive radiators ensure the bass performance. You can use an equalizer in the manufacturer’s app to adapt the listening experience to your preferences.
The SoundLink Max supports Bluetooth 5.3 as well as SBC, AAC and aptX codes. You can not only stream music to the speaker via Bluetooth, but you can also connect players such as CD players and the like via an auxiliary input. According to the manufacturer, the battery life of the speaker should be around 20 hours.
At 2.5 kilograms, the SoundLink Max is no lightweight. A removable cord handle makes transport easier. Optionally, you can also order a cord carrying strap with which you can carry the SoundLink Max over your shoulder.
The speaker will go on sale on June 4th, and pre-orders will be possible from May 14th. The recommended retail price is 449 dollars. When purchasing you can choose between the colors black and blue.
