It’s no secret that electric motors bring a lot of power. An example of this is the Model S Plaid from Tesla, which is considered the fastest production car in the world. At least when accelerating from 0 to 60 miles an hour, which it does in 1.99 seconds. 60 miles per hour is around 96.5 km/h.
However, the Swedish engineers at Koenigsegg want to push the performance of the electric motors to the extreme. For this they have designed an electric motor that is hardly larger than a Coke can and has 335 hp and around 600 Nm of torque. The mini engine only weighs around 28.6 kilograms.
Koenigsegg is known for technical innovations in their super sports cars. Since the small manufacturer only produces around 35 cars a year, it uses special technology to provide purchase incentives for very wealthy customers.

The tiny engine is said to help accelerate the car up to 400 km/h. That’s about as fast as the fastest Formula 1 car, which made it to just over 413 km/h. But the Gemera is not a purely electric car
The electric motor in the Gemera is mainly used to accelerate the car as quickly as possible. If it then drives at high speeds, a combustion engine takes care of the rest. You don’t have to worry too much about the range either, as the Gemera combines the advantages of an electric car and a combustion engine.
It may not sound like a Star Wars spaceship, as is the case with the ID.3 from Volkswagen:

The company’s CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg, reveals in a statement that The Quark is not only suitable for supercars. It is also intended to be used in ships, airplanes and helicopters. This is possible because its tiny size offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio.
