The mouse streaming service Disney + is celebrating its 2nd anniversary on Disney + Day today. For the festive occasion, a whole series of new Marvel series will be announced, launch dates announced and the titles and logos of upcoming MCU shows revealed.
The new animated series “Spider-Man: Freshman Year”, “Marvel Zombies” and “X-Men ’97”, the continuation of the popular animated series “X-Men” from the 1990s, will be there.

Already in March you could read here on Netzwelt that the upcoming MCU show “Hawkeye” with Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop is getting an offshoot called “Echo”. The new show is about the deaf superhero Echo, who “Hawkeye” is played by newcomer Alaqua Cox. Today the series has now been officially confirmed.
“Spider-Man: Freshman Year” is the title of a new animated “Spider-Man” series. It is about the beginnings of Peter Parker. How did he become the “Friendly Neighborhood Spider”? Since Tom Holland first appeared as Spidey on the MCU in 2016’s The First Avenger: Civil War, the new series is likely set before the events of that film.
