Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo announced a release date this morning Wolong: Fallen Dynasty, the new action RPG from the makers of Nioh and Ninja Gaiden. The game arrived on March 3, just in time for the release of the Nioh game.
In addition to the release date news, Team Ninja also revealed new plans for post-launch support, as well as all the different editions players can pre-order right now.
First, Wolong will get three DLC add-ons after launch. All three can be owned by you after purchasing a season pass, or individually when they arrive. The Season Pass is also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game.
Team Ninja says you should expect new areas, enemies, bosses, and new weapon types with each DLC. While the details are thin, they appear to be the same size as the Nioh add-on. The Digital Deluxe Edition also comes with a digital artbook and a mini soundtrack. As a final bonus, if you buy the edition now, you’ll get the Azure Dragon armor at launch.
Players who pre-order any version of Wolong: Fallen Dynasty will receive Suzaku Armor and White Tiger Armor as a reward. Only the latter is available by pre-order, but if you decide to wait, you have until March 16 to get the former.
Finally, a SteelBook version of the game will be available at launch. This is just the standard physical version of the game, just with a more luxurious cover. However, you can also get exclusive DLC in the form of Crown of Zhurong and Crown of Gong Gong.
If you’ve played (and completed) the Wolong September Demo, you’ll be familiar with the post-match survey Team Ninja asks you to answer. More than 80,000 players participated, and the developers announced the results on Wolong’s official website.

Wolong: Fallen Reigns is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on March 3. This was also the first day Game Pass was released on PC and Xbox consoles.
