Warner Bros. has spoken about the premiere of Wonder Woman 1984. After the rumors indicated that the crisis caused by the Coronavirus was going to lead the film starring Gal Gadot to be released on digital platforms, without going through theaters, the producer has announced that it will finally delay its release in theaters.
In this way, Wonder Woman 1984 will be released in theaters on August 14, 2020, instead of June 5, as planned before the health crisis began, which has led to the delay of other similar films, such as Black Widow, which is currently without a release date.
In these dark and scary times, I am looking forward to a brighter future ahead. Where we can share the power of cinema together again. Excited to redate our WW84 film to August 14, 2020. I hope everyone is safe. Sending my love to you all. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/nzPUM7uQ1n

Warner Bros. has explained that «When we gave the green light to "Wonder Woman 1984" it was with the intention that it would be released on the big screen. We hope the world is in a safer and healthier position by August 14«. For his part, Gal Gadot has expressed: «in these dark and terrifying times, I hope for a brighter future ahead where we can share the power of cinema together again.
Wonder Woman 1984 jumps in time to a very different time than the one seen in the previous film in which Diana Prince misses her peers from the past, although Steve Trevor will end up coming to life in an unknown way. Among Diana's new friendships will be that of Barbara Ann Minerva, an archeologist working for Max Lord, a megalomaniac focused on collecting ancient artifacts to become as powerful as a God. However, everything will be hindered when Minerva becomes the dangerous villain Cheetah
Luckily, Wonder Woman 1984 will be the next hit of the DC Extended Universe, which suffers ups and downs with the premiere of his different films. The last of them was Birds of Prey (and the fantastic emancipation of Harley Quinn), which came to change its name before a somewhat disappointing premiere.
