Hardly anyone can deny that World of Tanks has blossomed into a real success. Now there could be even more players, because the free-to-play game is coming to another platform.
As Wargaming announced, World of Tanks is now also available on Steam. In addition to World of Warships and World of Tanks Blitz, all major titles in the current Wargaming portfolio are now available on this platform. The Steam version is the same as the HD version from the Wargaming.net Game Center. Thanks to cross-launcher support, you can continue to plunge into battle together.
For over a decade, World of Tanks has attracted over 160 million registered players around the world by offering tactical combat with realistic 20th century combat vehicles on dozens of detailed maps. Over the years the game has been continuously expanded and improved – countless features have been added and hundreds of events unleashed. In the meantime, over 600 different combat vehicles with unique statistics and designs from 11 nations can be unlocked and played.
Thanks to the passionate support of the community, World of Tanks was not only able to secure an entry for the most simultaneous players in the Guinness Book of Records, but also won four Golden Joystick Awards.
