The current add-on World of WarCraft: Dragonflight is slowly but surely coming to an end. With version 10.2.7, another final content update is on the agenda.
Before the new chapter of World of WarCraft begins, the current add-on Dragonflight is doing one last round. Blizzard Entertainment has announced “Dark Heart,” the final content update to game version 10.2.7; this will initially be available on the public test realms.
“Dark Heart” brings the plot of the current expansion to a conclusion. At the same time, the update should also be the starting signal for the next big story in The War Within. The latter is the next add-on to WoW, which will be released later this year and marks the opening chapter of the new story arc “The World Souls Saga”. As is known, this saga will span several expansions.
In addition to the final Dragonflight content chapter, the content patch also brings with it a new event. Shortly after the release of Plunderstorm mode there is a remix of Mists of Pandaria. In this PvE-focused event, the popular expansion returns with new twists as part of WoW’s year-long 20th anniversary celebration.
According to official information, an overview of the most important features of the final update for World of WarCraft: Dragonflight:
- Accelerated level up
- All zones, creatures, quests and rewards have been reworked to allow accelerated leveling from levels 1-70.
- All dungeons and raids are available
- Dungeons can be played on normal difficulty. It starts at level 10 with the Temple of the Jade Snake. As you level up, new dungeons are unlocked, and you can tackle the heroic difficulty level from level 60.
- Raids are available in Raid Finder and on normal difficulty levels 35-70. Heroic difficulty is then unlocked at level 70.
- Revamped equipment system
- At all levels you can acquire powerful pieces of equipment from many sources (quests, chests, creatures and bosses), with most pieces reaching an item level of 486. This goes far beyond what MoP content was designed to do, leaving you feeling powerful and strong!
- Easy access for all active WoW players
- Just like Plunderstorm, WoW Remix is available outside of the main games to all active players who have a subscription or game time.
- You can access the WoW Remix event via the Dragonflight client, but you do not need to have purchased the latest expansion.
- Free trial accounts can participate in WoW Remix up to level 20. After that, you’ll need a subscription or game time to continue your adventure.
With Plunderstorm, Blizzard Entertainment is giving the starting signal for a battle royale event in the long-running MMO World of WarCraft.
