Blizzard Entertainment is now bringing the Battle Royale-based game mode Plunderstorm back to World of WarCraft.
Do you remember Plunderstorm? The mode was originally present in World of WarCraft: Dragonflight and is, to a certain extent, Blizzard's approach and interpretation of a battle royale mode in the long-running MMORPG. Now this mode is celebrating its comeback.
Fasshaxe's team returns to the Arathi Highlands and in the comeback of this game mode now also receives a number of improvements compared to the previous version.
While access to the game mode remains the same as before, there is now also access via the user interface of the current add-on The War Within. As for loot, progression for rewards is no longer tied to completing Fame Tiers. Instead, you receive a loot currency that you can use to purchase and unlock the rewards of your choice via a separate user interface. This interface can be accessed from the queue screen.
The previous Plunderstorm rewards remain available, but are joined by new transmog sets, a new parrot mount, a new pet and more.
New spells have been added in a fun way and various balancing improvements have been made to the existing abilities. You can find more information about Plunderstorm updates here detailed article on the topic on the official website.
