World of WarCraft has been on the market for many years and there has always been one constant in the MMORPG: Alliance and Horde are opponents and cannot stand each other. Now, however, Blizzard Entertainment is providing something new.
Did you count? For a whopping 18 (!) years, World of WarCraft has been the leader in online role-playing games – and throughout this long history, Horde and Alliance have always been competitors. But now the factions are converging as Blizzard Entertainment introduces cross-faction play in W orld of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
This means that for the first time in the history of the game, you can tackle instanced content together – regardless of whether you have previously joined Horder or Alliance. This instance-limited cross-faction gameplay is part of the new update to version 9.2.5 of the game. You can now invite friends to your group via BattleTag or Real ID. In addition, a mixed team is also possible via the dungeon browser.
According to official information, further improvements in patch 9.2.5 are:
- New customization quests – Blood Elves and Dark Iron Dwarves can complete a new questline that grants a new mount and weapon appearances.
- New Achievements – Players who made the effort to unlock all Covenant achievements will find that these achievements are now completed for all their characters.
- Gameplay improvements – Increased amount of Fame earned and catch-up sources, class adjustments, increased amount of Grateful Gifts and more.
